It's funny how a project comes together sometimes. This all started out as a slimline card. I cut out the gnomes and the banner using felt and the letters from cardstock and was working on the placement of things when the pillow ornament popped into my head.  Then I was unearthing fabric (linen - don't ya love it!), cutting the letters from felt and putting it all together. Once that was done, I created the card to match - all from cardstock this time.

Stamps:  Merry Christmas from A Muse Arstamps

Other: cardstock, bakers twine, buttons, white craft ink, white embossing powder, embroidery floss, linen fabric, ribbon, jingle bells

Thanks for visiting! :-)

Maybe because it's so hot around here, I'm stuck on Winter and Christmas in July.  This adorable bear is an oldie-but-a-goodie image from THE CAT'S PAJAMAS. (I couldn't find him online so maybe he's retired, Alma?) I unearthed a pile of Spellbinders frame dies and this idea came to mind.  The sentiment is from the new BEARY CHRISTMAS set and the holiday greenery is the new OH CHRISTMAS TREE stamp set and dies. Stay COOL this summery Saturday!

My one last card for the new release features the OH HOLY NIGHT set and the PEEK A BOO FRAMES die. I also used the NUMBERS PLATE die for the date feature. The Peek A Boo frames open up to adorable snowmen. I even dug out some brads and buttons! Glittery snowflakes finish it up.

THE CAT'S PAJAMAS - Sneaky Peek Week - Day 7

Sneaky Peek GraphicLast day of Sneaky Peeks and then tomorrow all will be available at THE CAT'S PAJAMAS!  Of course, each day of Sneaky Peek Week you could purchase anything that you liked but if you wait until Tuesday then there are deals to be had!

Day seven brings the PEEK A BOO FRAME dies, the LITTLE TRUCK die, and the SILENT NIGHT die.

I had this multiple gift card peek-a-boo idea in my head and this is what came out.  It's bright and rainbowy. I used the largest peek-a-boo frame and then topped it with JOY letters from the BIG LITTLE ALPHABET dies.  The letters were cut from iridescent silver cardstock from my stash. I love how it's a different color in each kind of light! The background is various Distress Oxide inks blended together, flicked with water, and then watered down white acrylic paint. I'd love a selection of gift cards, how about you?!

THE CAT'S PAJAMAS - Sneaky Peek Week - Day 7 part 2

Sneaky Peek GraphicDay seven brings the PEEK A BOO FRAME dies, the LITTLE TRUCK die, and the SILENT NIGHT die. This is my second post this morning and this card is all about the Little Truck and the Silent Night dies.

I love this little truck! I'm in a vintage farmhouse phase and the truck screams VINTAGE FARMHOUSE!  I hope my scene brings back memories from your childhood holiday visits to Grandma. I used sparkly glitter galore (although it's hard to see in this picture) and created the night sky background with Distress Oxide inks. Who's ready for a little bit cooler weather already?

I made a pick-me-up card for an amazingly strong friend. I'm realizing that it's a lot harder to get a card together after not stamping regularly for such a long time.  I get caught up in trying to duplicate the trends that other stampers are so good at.  But, like anything, it takes time and practice to get back in the swing of things.

I used a cactus die set from Echo Park.  The background was created using Distress Oxide inks and the cloud stencil from The Cat's Pajamas and the sun rays are made with an MFT stencil.  The speech bubble and die are also MFT and the sentiment is from Paper Smooches.

Hope you all had a nice relaxing weekend and are ready to start a new week again tomorrow.

THE CAT'S PAJAMAS - Sneaky Peek Week - Day 5

Sneaky Peek GraphicI've always loved typography and word art.  In college there were these rub on letters in tons of fonts and you could look through a catalog to choose the ones that you wanted to buy. I would try and hand copy the letter forms and then change my personal writing to include them. It was fun! Our day five Sneaky Peek is the CHRISTMAS TREE LOT set. It's a fun combination of Christmas tree shapes with various fonts, all in a word art/subway sign sort of format.  What's not to love!

A chalkboard look card is what I instantly wanted to make with this set. I added the holiday greenery from the OH CHRISTMAS TREE set around the borders. I noticed that I'm not the only DT member that went with this look...great minds think alike!

THE CAT'S PAJAMAS - Sneaky Peek Week - Day 4

Sneaky Peek Graphic

Day 4 of Sneaky Peeks with THE CAT'S PAJAMAS brings us the WARMEST WISHES stamp and die bundle.  Adorable winter characters are just what we need!

I made a bright wintery card using the bear in the sweater and the tiny sentiments from the BEARY CHRISTMAS set. I've noticed so many stampers going very minimal and stark white these days.  I have way too much patterned paper, buttons, flowers, ribbon, baker's twine, etc. in my hoard! And for me, the more layers the better. I know you should grow and change and move with the times. I also know that it all comes back around! So, dancing colorful polar bears it is.

THE CAT'S PAJAMAS - Sneaky Peek Week - Day 2

Welcome to day two of The Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peek Week! Today's set is one of those must have "build it" sets. OH CHRISTMAS TREE has a variety of stamps, and there are matching dies, that can create so many essential holiday images when used together or one/two at a time.

The dies just screamed WREATH to me.  I used two of the dies in the set to create my wreath and then added the sentiment from another of the new sets.  A big gingham bow and red rhinestones finish it off.
