TCP TUESDAY #376 - PATTERNED PAPER ~ USE A LITTLE, USE A LOT!

THIS challenge right here...I'M ALL ABOUT IT! I know, I know, patterned paper doesn't seem to the the "IN" thing these days but I have tonnage of this stuff. AND, I still love it. I still hoard some of it too. It's just so pretty and, the best part, somebody else has already done the hard work and made a whole pad of this matchy matchy goodness.

I reached into my 6x6 paper pad filing system - also known as an old suitcase - and just picked a pad and went with it. All of the patterned papers here, with the exception of the newsprint, are in the same pad shown. Fun, right? I used a whole bunch of new dies from THE CAT'S PAJAMAS and I'll link them below.

SNEAKY PEEK WEEK FINALE - BLOG HOP AND RELEASE DAY - WELCOME GNOME

As for my card, using the new WELCOME GNOME set, I created a fun WHATUP GNOMIE card. I always love a good pun! I used the BIG LITTLE ALPHABET dies (a personal fave!) to cut out the word from patterned paper and then offset the letters just a bit and popped them up with some foam tape. I love all of the little gnomes hangin' out. It just goes together! And it's kinda trippy with that paper, right?

TCP SNEAKY PEEK WEEK - DAY 7 - SUN PLEASE

It's our last day for Sneaky Peeks at The Cat's Pajamas. By now you should have seen all that we have to offer. Today's the wrap up day so everyone's doing their own thing. Definitely visit the Design Team to be inspired and ready for Spring.

I'm using the SUN PLEASE! set of adorable mouse images. I'm ready for SUN any day of the week...especially when it's been so dreary and gray and wintery. (I'm still wishing for one big snow to finish off the winter though.) I created a little shaker card full of iridescent rain sequins and placed the little mouse on top. Someone on FB (sorry, can't remember who) created one of these strip-py backgrounds so I had to give it a try. Fun, right? I used the frame from the Stitched Tree Duo die and the grassy edge from the Slimline Basics Cutups die set as well.

TCP SNEAKY PEEK WEEK - DAY 5 {LIVE, LOVE, BARK}

Havin' a RUFF week? I hope not but if you are, a peek at this little dog will lift your spirits! What a silly little boy. This happens at my house on a daily basis...only it's cats. It falls under the "if it fits, it sits" category. I created a slimline card and did some masking of the dog in the basket image so that there's a whole stack of precariously placed baskets. This set is called LIVE, LOVE, BARK and it has so many adorable images and fun, chunky, scripty mixed sentiments. Hey, who's got big ole buttons left in their stash? ME! <---- That's who! TCP SNEAKY PEEK WEEK - DAY 4 {Lamb Bunny Chick Die/Flower Wagon Die}

We're celebrating Spring...it'll get here sooner than we think and I'll be ready with this adorable animal die set. Of course, I couldn't resist another felt ornament. They're just perfect cutouts for this type of quick craft. And now you've got some Spring/Easter decor to use at your house or maybe share with a friend! This die set is called LAMB/BUNNY/CHICK and it has interchangeable little heads to use with the same body. We're also showing off the FLOWER WAGON die and I slipped in the new GRASSY PATCHES die too. The Flower Wagon die set has the cart and a bunch of fun flowers and a tulip stem to show them off. You're gonna need them all!

TCP NEW RELEASE BLOG HOP!

Hey there! It's release day for THE CAT'S PAJAMAS and I'm ending it up with this totally fun THEATER CARD CUTABLE file. I've seen so many of these interactive cards lately and they're all so different. This is such a great way to start a card - you don't have to measure and if you have a cutting machine (Silhouette or Cricut) you don't even hardly have to cut. Alma's done all of the hard work for you. And best of all it's interesting and fun for the recipient.

I used the new WOOF stamp set and dies for this one. I love this cute dog and all of his perfect expressions. He's got the life, for sure.

TCP SNEAKY PEEK WEEK - DAY 3 {Good Meowning}

It's day 3 of TCP Sneaky Peeks. This one's for the cat lovers out there! I live in a small zoo...3 cats and a dog. Of course, they run the house! GOOD MEOWNING features a litter's worth of fun kitties. I stamped and masked and masked and stamped so that I'd have a whole roomful of kittens.  I colored with Copics and mounted them to a card front before I decided that maybe a little vellum highlight might be fun. This set also has a coordinating set of dies. So fun to be able to cut the exact shape so easily.  I folded a piece of vellum in half and then added a rubber mat under my die in my cutting sandwich. That allowed the cutting to happen on the front half of the vellum but not all the way through to the back side. The vellum wraps the whole card. I then stamped the sentiment with embossing ink and embossed with black detail powder.

TCP SNEAKY PEEK WEEK - DAY 2 {Love Grows Here}

Day 2 Sneaky Peeks brings us this adorable pair in the LOVE GROWS HERE set. They're so sweet and they've got it goin' on! My duo is off on a scooter ride...enjoying every minute of life!

I stamped the main image, trimmed the bottom edge and inserted the circle die under the bottom of the stamped image so that it only cut the top and my image carried across the edge of the circle. I used inks and a waterbrush on watercolor paper for a soft inky look.  Fun patterned papers from an older October Afternoon paper pad, a tiny wooden star, and text filled clouds finish it off.

TCP SNEAKY PEEK WEEK - DAY 1 (YETI TO PARTY)

Are you READY to YETI!?! It's time for the November new release with THE CAT'S PAJAMAS and we're starting with monsters galore. They're too sweet to scare but perfect to share. It's early, I know, but how adorable would these be for Valentine's for the kiddos. Super cute!
