TCP TUESDAY #376 - PATTERNED PAPER ~ USE A LITTLE, USE A LOT!

THIS challenge right here...I'M ALL ABOUT IT! I know, I know, patterned paper doesn't seem to the the "IN" thing these days but I have tonnage of this stuff. AND, I still love it. I still hoard some of it too. It's just so pretty and, the best part, somebody else has already done the hard work and made a whole pad of this matchy matchy goodness.

I reached into my 6x6 paper pad filing system - also known as an old suitcase - and just picked a pad and went with it. All of the patterned papers here, with the exception of the newsprint, are in the same pad shown. Fun, right? I used a whole bunch of new dies from THE CAT'S PAJAMAS and I'll link them below.

TCP SNEAKY PEEK WEEK - DAY 1 (YETI TO PARTY)

Are you READY to YETI!?! It's time for the November new release with THE CAT'S PAJAMAS and we're starting with monsters galore. They're too sweet to scare but perfect to share. It's early, I know, but how adorable would these be for Valentine's for the kiddos. Super cute!

TCP TUESDAY #373 - AUTUMN

It was a fantastic weekend here in Maryland.  (If it was like this every day I would NEVER go to work!) FALL is here and it's one of my favorite times of year...cool and crisp, beautiful full moon, windows open, Football!, cozy but not heavy clothes.

The October TCP Tuesday challenge #373 is AUTUMN. Leaves and pumpkins and spookiness of all kinds abound. My card features the little bear and teepee from the new FOLLOW YOUR ARROW set, the  sentiment from the new THE WORLD IS YOURS set, and leaves from the STITCHED TREE dies that were just released last week.  This little guy is just the sweetest.

I watercolored him and the teepee with stamping inks.  The background is Distress Oxide inks splattered with white paint. Fun patterned paper from Basic Grey ground the scene.

TCP TUESDAY #372 - ANIMALS ~ REMINDER!

How did we get to the middle of the month already!? The weather in Maryland has been delightful so I hope you are all enjoying the same.  I"m ready for Fall...don't wanna go straight to Winter through so don't get any big ideas, Mother Nature!

I picked this kitty in a cup from the THIS COULD BE VODKA set. I have three cats and Jamie Fraser would definitely be the one IN the cup. He's such a bad kitty! Still loving the BIG LITTLE ALPHABET dies so I'm using them again here. Otherwise, this is a pretty straight forward, clean and simple card.

TCP TUESDAY #372 - ANIMALS

Get out your animal stamps and play along with the September challenge with The Cat's Pajamas. This bunny is oh so cute and fun and dressed up as a witch could not be any spookier!

I decided that a slimline shaker would be perfect to feature my bunny witch.  All stamps, dies, and the Green Holographic Holeless Sequins are available from Alma at TCP! I created the background with Distress Oxide Inks, white paint and black ink splatters.

TCP TUESDAY #371 - SLIMLINE CHALLENGE

This month's TCP Tuesday challenge is the SLIMLINE CARD! Slimline is the rage right now.  Isn't funny how styles ebb and flow and come around again?  This is a fun size though because it fits in a regular business sized envelope and that makes mailing easy-peazy.  

I was already working on another ornament after the gnome pillow so I stuck with that and then added a card to match.  I'm a bit obsessed with the BIG LITTLE ALPHABET. You can really do ANYTHING with it!  I used the LITTLE TRUCK die from the Christmas In July release...another very versatile image.  The ornament also uses the holly die from the O CHRISTMAS TREE die set.

The card background was created using Distress Oxide ink. I masked the bottom so that it remained showy white.  I used a blending brush to apply Speckled Egg ink. I then laid the BLIZZARD stencil on top and again applied the same color ink.  I really love how it turned out.  I cut the letters from the inked layer so that I could add a little shaker portion and filled it with Clear Holographic Holeless Sequins.

THE CAT'S PAJAMAS - NEW RELEASE BLOG HOP {tcp tuesday #207 - TECHNIQUE/SUPPLY}

Welcome to THE CAT'S PAJAMAS new release Blog Hop!  Today's the day that all of our new goodies are finally available for you to order.  And there's soooo much in this release that will make your "must-have" list too. 

So, you should start the hop today with JULIE.  She's today's hipster hostess with the mostess since it's also TCP TUESDAY #207.  The challenge today is to FOCUS ON HANDMADE FLOWERS.  Our new release has two great new CUTUPS DIES that will make flowers - POM POM FLOWER and HEART BORDER - and there are our existing flower CutUps dies as well.  Let's see what you can do with these great tools!

I used the POM POM FLOWER CUTUPS die here to make some hair clip flowers.  I love, love, love the look of these loopy blooms!  I added heart leaves using the HEART TRIO CUTUPS and hot glued the flowers to inexpensive silver hair clips.  I used the new WINDOW CUTUPS die for my window and the POM POM FLOWER die for the shutters.  The sentiment here is from the new BLOOM stamp set and the GRASS BORDER CUTUPS die completes the look!

TCP TUESDAY #206 & SNEAKY PEEK DAY 1!

Not only is it TCP TUESDAY #206 but it's the first day for new Sneaky Peeks from the design team at THE CAT'S PAJAMAS.  Our new release will be available for ordering on Tuesday, April 24th...wanna see what we've got coming out?  Read on...

JEN put together this fabulous POSTAL themed collage for this week's TCP Tuesday challenge...isn't it fun?!  And it worked out perfectly because our first set preview is for the new COMMEMORATING YOU set.  This set coordinates with our STAMP TRIO die that came out some months back...versatile, right?!  I stamped a few stamp strips and a little letter and then added them to some map paper from October Afternoon along with a fun envelope, a little bouquet of flowers wrapped in pattern tissue, and some airmail flags on straight pins.

TCP TUESDAY #20 - COLOR CHALLENGE

Popping in today to share my card for this week's TCPTUESDAY #203 challenge.  It's color combo time and this one's from LORI...

I colored up and paper pieced the little gal in the WARM FUZZIES set.  I used a bunch of different patterned paper to fit the color theme.  Sing-song music notes from THE TWEETEST THINGS set, Aqua Divine Twine, tiny Doodlebug flowers, and buttons finish it off.  I also followed along with Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge #155 for my layout.
