Since A Muse is celebrating their upcoming A-Muse-A-Palooza event they've been posting fun challenges on their blog....and there are prizes too! Yippee! I finally found a few moments to create a card that I could enter. I have been in love with these little buildings that A Muse comes up with oh-so frequently...especially around the holidays. They have a toy store, a Christmas shop, a Costume shop and on and on. They're irresistible. And ever since I bought my first one or four I was thinking that all together they'd make a village...plus with the bridge and the lamppost and the fence how could you go wrong.
I started out just stamping the buildings across some Whisper White CS in a random way. When I sat down to color the images it hit me that I didn't really WANT to do ALL of that coloring today so I decided to color one building and started with the Bistro. I always had the "Let's Dish!" sentiment in my head but when I went looking for that sentiment I couldn't find it in my stash. (Note to self: Go back to the A Muse site and look for an appropriate sentiment.) I ended up using one of those roller stamps from ProvoCraft. (What I really need/want is that Karen Foster Snap-Stamp set Casual Small - the 1/4" letters. If anyone can point me in the right direction for that I would love it. I'm a terrible 'googler' and I can't find anything!) Can you keep a secret? I had a little 'boo boo' when adding the sentiment - dontcha hate that! Thus, the off kilter sentiment on the raised layer. I like it better though...it adds a little somthin'.
As for the details, I painted the image with Twinkling H2Os, made the scalloped border with the SU! slit punch and lined the small hole punches with my Signo White gel pen. The ribbon is from KI Memories. It's from their old ribbon sash sets...that ribbon is still my very favorite. I wish they'd bring it back instead of the satiny sashes that they carry now. I added a little swirl of Dazzling Diamonds over glue pen just under the sentiment for sparkle. The patterned paper is from the Phoebe collection by Basic Grey. WISH ME LUCK!
This is amazing...a winner for sure!

I've bought *nearly* all my Snap Stamps from KTCrafts. Unfortunately, the snap stamps are being discontinued, so they're hard to find now. I couldn't find any online store with them in stock.
