To show off a little of what you can find at TSG I created a spooky birthday card.  (Hmm...who do I know that has a birthday in October? I hope she likes her creepy card!)  I love a non-traditional card for any holiday or celebration.  And, since I'm a freak for Halloween I have a huge container of Halloween patterned papers.  Look what was waitin' in there for me...the perfect RIP headstone paper from American Crafts.  I knew that I had to make a door card. 

On the front I also used the brand new SPIDER WEB DIE and the spider from the new BUGS & HISSES stamp set - both available for purchase this coming Saturday.  Peeking from inside is a cute googly-eyed mummy from the HAUNTINGLY DELIGHTFUL stamp set.  And when you open it up you see that he's ready to present the birthday girl with BOO-tiful ghostly balloons! I pieced together the sentiment from a couple of stamps included in the Hauntingly Delightful set as well.

I'm stuck in Halloween mode now so my first card features delish patterned papers from The Girls Paperie in last year's Toil & Trouble collection.  In addition to the WORLD'S BEST stamp set and dies, I used a few images from the new BUGS & HISSES set as well.  Buttons and twine complete the look.

My second card uses the layout from last week's MFTWSC37 sketch challenge along with various gorgeous patterned papers from Pink Paislee's Hometown Summer pack.  I added the "neighbor" flag using the computer.

I cooked up a Spooky Doorhanger in fun Halloween colors, of course!  Various patterned papers from a Halloween K&Co pad, plus colorful ribbon and twine, a chipboard letter, and creepy (or not really!) pom pom spiders with googly eyes complete the look.

THERE SHE GOES - NEW RELEASE BLOG HOP - DAY 1 {BOL HOLIDAY ADDITIONS & FOLLOW YOUR BLISS}

Welcome to my first new release peek post for new stamps from THERE SHE GOES.  TSG has some really fun new images and a few other surprises that will be available this coming weekend so let's get to it...

This first set is called BUCKETS OF LOVE - HOLIDAY ADDITIONS.  As I'm sure you can guess, there was already a set called BUCKETS OF LOVE and these are some fun new goodies to place into the buckets for the upcoming holidays.  My card uses various patterned paper from Fancy Pants in their It's The Little Things collection...a little something I picked up this past weekend at Scrapfest in the Mall of America.  I also added a bit of black ribbon and a leaf pin to dress it up.  The pin was toned down a bit with some Copic marker so that it wouldn't be the bright leaf green that it started out being.    A few brads finished it off.

Today's second feature set is called FOLLOW YOUR BLISS.  The set includes cute little puppies and various pieces of a wall with flowers that you can arrange to suit your whim in addition to some lovely sentiments.  (Just take a peek at what the other DT gals created in the graphic above...wow!)  I went ahead and used the same patterned papers since they were already on my desk.  Licorice Divine Twine and a coupla buttons wind it all up!

Have I mentioned that Halloween is coming?  Have you noticed that while you're out doing your shopping?  IT'S EVERYWHERE!  One more reminder that Summer is just about over...which is a bummer! I do, however, love HALLOWEEN so I am always ready to dig into my Halloween stamps and get to work.

Today's card features images from the HAUNTINGLY DELIGHTFUL set from THERE SHE GOES.  It's a must have for Halloween lovers...lots of cute little spooky images to choose from.  I chose the reaper guy and the bats in both sizes.  I paired the images up with patterned paper from the BLACKBIRD collection from My Mind's Eye - I think it was from last year's release.  I added MFT's new Woodgrain Fence Die-Namics and some felt grass using the GRASS BORDER CUTUPS die from THE CAT'S PAJAMAS.  I used a regular EK circle punch for the banner - love it! - and added Limited Edition HALLOWEEN DIVINE TWINE and buttons to finish it off.

TSGBDAY1 PAPER DOLL CHALLENGE

Hey, guess what?!  I am now a member of the design team for THERE SHE GOES Clear Stamps...also known as a Junior Trendsetter!  Interesting, right?  I don't think I've even been known as a Trendsetter but, what the heck, let's go with it.  So, this all started on September 1st and it just so happens that THERE SHE GOES is celebrating their 3rd year in business with a bunch of fun stuff this month.  What kind of fun stuff?  Well, how about a PAPER DOLL CHALLENGE. 

Ever made a paper doll from one of your stamped images?  It's really pretty easy.  Leave a bit of space at the bottom of you image when you cut it out.  Then use a half circle piece of cardstock to create the other part of the base to make your image stand up.  You cut up from the bottom of the stamped image about 1/2 inch and you cut down from the top edge of the half circle piece then insert one into the other so that they criss-cross to create the base. 

As for my card here, I used this adorable OUT OF THIS WORLD set by Melyssa Connolly.  I fell in love with these cute little people and their space stuff at first sight.  I really like that there are some repeat images in two sizes....like the moon surface.  Sometimes you need various sizes to create a scene.  I used the larger moon images - stamped a few times - to create a "pocket" at the bottom of the card front so that the paper dolls could be tucked inside.  That way, the card includes those images whether you have the dolls put together or not.  A piece of October Afternoon Rocket Age paper was the perfect backdrop for the surface of the moon.

BOY...BOAT...BOOKMARK!

I noticed THIS AMAZING BOOKMARK on the TIDDLY INKS blog this week by Renee.  Is that gorgeous or what?!  I knew that I had to make something similar.  So, while we're waiting for the hurricane to show up here in Maryland, I'm enjoying a quiet day in the craft room.  (So nice to not have anything else to HAVE to do!)  I went in search of some instructions and did find a quick how-to but basically just used that for the base.

I used the FLOAT MY BOAT mini set from THERE SHE GOES as my central image.  I think this guy with his curly hair is the cutest thing.  I teamed him and his doggie up with great papers in the Cosmo Cricket Social Club 6x6 paper pad.  I also used the WAVE CUTUPS die from THE CAT'S PAJAMAS and a large scallop border die from PTI.  Cherry Divine Twine and two bright red brads finished it off.  Now all I need is a good book and they day will be complete!  (I actually have a really good book but it's on my Kindle...but I have a few library books waiting on the nightstand too!)

Still pretty quiet around here on the weather front...rain mostly.  Hope we won't need a boat too!
