THE CAT'S PAJAMAS - NEW RELEASE BLOG HOP {tcp tuesday #207 - TECHNIQUE/SUPPLY}

Welcome to THE CAT'S PAJAMAS new release Blog Hop!  Today's the day that all of our new goodies are finally available for you to order.  And there's soooo much in this release that will make your "must-have" list too. 

So, you should start the hop today with JULIE.  She's today's hipster hostess with the mostess since it's also TCP TUESDAY #207.  The challenge today is to FOCUS ON HANDMADE FLOWERS.  Our new release has two great new CUTUPS DIES that will make flowers - POM POM FLOWER and HEART BORDER - and there are our existing flower CutUps dies as well.  Let's see what you can do with these great tools!

I used the POM POM FLOWER CUTUPS die here to make some hair clip flowers.  I love, love, love the look of these loopy blooms!  I added heart leaves using the HEART TRIO CUTUPS and hot glued the flowers to inexpensive silver hair clips.  I used the new WINDOW CUTUPS die for my window and the POM POM FLOWER die for the shutters.  The sentiment here is from the new BLOOM stamp set and the GRASS BORDER CUTUPS die completes the look!

WISH {tcp sneaky peek - day 6}

"When you wish upon a star....la la la la la la laaaaa!"  That's the extent of my singing and we should all be glad about that...the no sound here on the blog part!  ha ha!  But that's what came to mind as I made this card with another of our brand spankin' new sneaky peek stamp sets from THE CAT'S PAJAMAS. 

This one is called WISH...sweet little bunny sittin' up on the moon.  I also used TWO new CUTUPS dies...HEART BORDER and POM POM FLOWER (left unrolled across the bottom).  Fun right?!  Stars and buttons and rhinestones and twine finish it all up!  All of the patterned papers are from October Afternoon.  This card layout was inspired by JEN'S April Sketch For You To Try.

THE MUSTACHE SET {tcp sneaky peek 5}

Welcome to day five of sneaky peeks for new stamps and dies from THE CAT'S PAJAMAS! I am so excited for you to see what's in store today....

THE MUSTACHE SET and the MUSTACHES CUTUPS die set are so flippin' fabulous!  They both make me giddy!  With phrases like "I Mustache You A Question", "Have a Fun {tache} Tic Day" and "Curses...Foiled Again!"...what's not to love!  And the set coordinates with the die set perfectly.  The die set includes not one but FOUR mustache cutout shapes too! 

I made a card for Kyle to take to a friend's birthday party tomorrow.  I think I'll add a little "10" somewhere on here to make it a little more specific to him.  All of the fun patterned papers are from Echo Park.

Seriously...I MUSTACHE YOU to pick up this stamp set and dies...They're a new must have!!

AYE, AYE CAPTAIN {tcp sneaky peek - day 4}

I love me the bunny in a cute litle boat!  Here's a look at our Sneaky Peek set for day four from THE CAT'S PAJAMAS...AYE, AYE CAPTAIN.  I think I'm in love!  In addition to this fabulous new set, I'm showing off a brand new CutUps die as well...can you spot it?  It's the MUSTACHE SLIDE CUTUPS die...right beneath the boat.  You slide some ribbon in and, voila!, you have little mustaches.  You can use either side once you instert the ribbon...you'll see...you're gonna have to get it!

All of the patterned papers here are from Cosmo Cricket.  I also used some swirly embossed clouds made with the CLOUD BORDER CUTUPS die and some natural twine to add to the nautical look.

TCP TUESDAY #206 & SNEAKY PEEK DAY 1!

Not only is it TCP TUESDAY #206 but it's the first day for new Sneaky Peeks from the design team at THE CAT'S PAJAMAS.  Our new release will be available for ordering on Tuesday, April 24th...wanna see what we've got coming out?  Read on...

JEN put together this fabulous POSTAL themed collage for this week's TCP Tuesday challenge...isn't it fun?!  And it worked out perfectly because our first set preview is for the new COMMEMORATING YOU set.  This set coordinates with our STAMP TRIO die that came out some months back...versatile, right?!  I stamped a few stamp strips and a little letter and then added them to some map paper from October Afternoon along with a fun envelope, a little bouquet of flowers wrapped in pattern tissue, and some airmail flags on straight pins.

TCP TUESDAY #20 - COLOR CHALLENGE

Popping in today to share my card for this week's TCPTUESDAY #203 challenge.  It's color combo time and this one's from LORI...

I colored up and paper pieced the little gal in the WARM FUZZIES set.  I used a bunch of different patterned paper to fit the color theme.  Sing-song music notes from THE TWEETEST THINGS set, Aqua Divine Twine, tiny Doodlebug flowers, and buttons finish it off.  I also followed along with Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge #155 for my layout.

TCP TUESDAY #202 - Technique/Supply Challenge

I'm late to the party but here I am popping in with my card for this week's TCP TUESDAY CHALLENGE #202 from JULIE...

"Let's put a little "grass with class" in our projects!  Ok, now know you're thinking, what????  But it's easy really, just use any grassy product you have, you could use The Cat's Pajamas's ultra swanky Grass CutUps die using patterned paper, felt, cork, etc., etc.  Or you could use any number of TCP's super cute stamp sets that have grass in them, like Kick Some Grass or Happy Camper. You could even use some yummy Divine Twine or Seam Binding or other ribbon to make your own grass - go wild!"

I pulled out PJ with his beautiful sunflower in the BEARING FLOWERS set.  I'm ready for sunflowers - my favorite, of course!  They just make me happy!  I used green felt cut with the GRASS CUTUPS die to fit the challenge.  All of the patterned papers here are from October Afternoon.  I added a piece of wide SU! striped ribbon, a big MM gingham brad, buttons, twine, and some little brad thingies with an eye for twine to finish it off.

Remember that this is a jumping off point.  Be creative.  I can't wait for you to see how some of the other DT gals interpreted this one...very inventive!  Do the small squares give you the heebie jeebies?  Ahh...they're too small for images?  Is that what you're thinking?  You can do what I did and add your main image over the squares.  Here's my card to show you what I'm talking about...

I used my favorite PJ image and the trees from the HAPPY CAMPER set along with various patterned papers from October Afternoon.  I also used three different CUTUPS dies:  CLOUD BORDER, BIG SCALLOP BORDER, and the BIG PINKING BORDER.  The sentiment is included in the LOVE STINKS stamp set.  A jumbo button, pretty ribbon, and twine complete the look.

So, use keyword TCPTUES200 when uploading to SCS.  And add your card to the links on ALMA'S BLOG so that you're included in the weekly/monthly contest stuff.  AND...head on over to the other girls blogs this week and leave them some comment love.  The winner of everything in our next release could be Y-O-U!

TCP TUESDAY #199 - Stamp/Die Challenge

With the mild winter that we've enjoyed here in the East it really seems like Spring must be right around the corner.  (And you know that since I've had this thought and actually typed it here, next week we will be enjoying a blizzard.  Mark my words!!) SUSAN must have been thinking the same thing when she decided that this week's TCP Tuesday Stamp Challenge should celebrate...THE GREAT OUTDOORS! - Use any stamp(s) that are "out getting a breath of fresh air" (aka, doing something outside) along with the CLOUD BORDER CUTUPS die.

It's been a little bit since I used the bunny in the plane stamp from the TAKE OFF set.  I love this guy and his plane.  I really hope we see more of the bunny in various vehicles!  I used the BIG TICKET CUTUPS die to make a little tri-fold pull out for the front of my card. I stamped each ticket with the outline from the ADMIT ONE stamp set.  I die cut two borders from the CLOUD BORDER CUTUPS die and then embossed them with a dotted embossing folder.  I cut those clouds apart so that I could spread them across the three panels.  Bunny is pulling a little banner behind his plane so that everyone can tell that his "head's in the clouds..."  All of the patterned papers are from the Farmhouse pad from October Afternoon.

TCP TUESDAY #198 - Color Challenge

This week's TCP Tuesday challenge from LORI is to use the three Easter-y colors in your card creation!  (I have to admit to being "PINK" challenged.  Yikes!) Of course, we can't all be pros at everything.  That's why it's called a CHALLENGE!  Sooo....here goes....

I used the fun EGGS IN A BASKET CUTUPS die as my focal point and added the magical bunny from the PRESTO CLEAR STAMP SET to fill it up.  The LACY FLORAL DOILY CUTUPS die cut backs him up and I used the CIRCUS PANELS CUTUPS dies for my sentiment which is in the SUGAR SUGAR set.  Some must have grass using the GRASS BORDER CUTUPS die at the bottom, polka-dotty ribbon, buttons, twine, and brads finish it all up.  And, I made a color copy of a recipe book page for my background...each page spread had a different fun vintage-y color!
