TCP TUESDAY #58 - STAMP CHALLENGE

I've got all kinds of excuses for not getting my card made and posted on Tuesday....well, you know I don't do anything until the last minute....um, it was sunny on Tuesday so I decided to read outside instead of stamp inside...uhhh, ditto for Wednesday...so here we are on Thursday and I'm done!  Yea!

SUSAN is the Hipster Hostess with the Mostess this week and she's chosen the Cat's Pajamas signature set, IT'S A MOD, MOD WORLD, for this week's challenge.  You can use any image in that set so you've got lots of choices!

My card uses this awesome paper combo from My Mind's Eye...their paper is so great since it's thick, double sided, and perfectly coordinated!  This turned into one of those "no-mo" cards - meaning, maybe I shoulda stopped before the sewing part...it got kinda busy with all of the pattens going on...that happens sometimes, right?  I masked Poochie in his spaceship and used the Copic airbrush and two different markers to add the background...really like how that turned out.  The ribbon is from SU! and the big brown button is by Creative Imaginations and the small orange button is from SUINK.  I also used this week's sketch challenge at SCS - #228 - for my layout.  This little sentiment, also from The Cat's Pajamas, is called "Captured" (C-4207).

SUINKWWC38 - Flowers, Flowers, Flowers!

The card challenge this week at STORAGE UNITS, INK & MORE! is to make a card that features FLOWERS!  That's an easy one since it's Spring and all.  More than just regular flowers sprouting up everywhere, I'm in love with the Pink Dogwood trees that are all over the place here in MD right now.  They're gorgeous and their pink flowers really stand out next to the green of everything else budding right now.  Just fabulous!

Ooopsie..back to the card.  I combined this SUINK challenge with this week's sketch challenge #226 at Splitcoast.  It's a good one and a great way to really use some of your patterned paper stash.  My card features the cute little boy from the SUINK BOYS 'N BUGS set and the sentiment is included in the new THINKING OF MOTHER set.  This'll probably be the card that I get this year...ha...made by me!  All of the fun paper is from the Blossoms & Butterflies Stack pad by DCWV.  The large flower is by Doodlebug and the smaller one is a Prima.  Some Stamping Bella Baubles finish it off.

FALL IS FUN!

I don't know 'bout you but I love Fall!  As I've mentioned before, I'm a freak for Halloween.  But in addition to that thrilling fact, I go crazy year after year for the changing leaves (never leave home without the camera when the leaves start to change - they change daily!!) and the cooler but not cold temperatures, the mums, the pumpkins, the cornstalks and hay bales.  I love it all!

And Fall IS Fun!  This cute little guy is from the LEAF IT TO ME set from Storage Units, Ink & More!  It's a really adorable little set featuring this little farmer boy, the farmer boy on his tractor, a tree, cornstalks, a barrel with apples for bobbing, a rake, a basket of veggies, a pile of leaves, a scarecrow, and a few other things - all with great sentiments to celebrate the season.  Everything you'll need to FALL into FALL!

The layout here is Sketch Challenge #194 this week at Splitcoast.  It's a great way to use up some scraps of patterned paper that you might have laying around.  All of the papers that I used are from American Crafts - as is the ribbon.  That's why it all coordinates so well.  I colored everything with Copics and used some of my Coredinations textured cardstock stash for the solid colors.  (They have 160 colors of paper!!  WOW!)  I also used some Sharpie markers to "darken up" my Dew Drops a bit.
