HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!

I needed a birthday card today so here's what I whipped up.  My little guy thinks that every little stamped boy that I make is modeled after him.  Sometimes I give them red hair or black hair or blond hair...he still thinks it's him.  Hellll-O!  You have brown hair, little boy!!  This card also fits for the Splitcoast Color Challenge this week - Pink Passion, Kiwi Kiss, and Chocolate Chip.

Anyway, this little boy is actually in the YOU'RE SOME BUNNY SPECIAL set that just came out from STORAGE UNITS, INK & MORE!  You can tell by the name that it's an Easter set, right?  But look how cute he is...you can use him for anything!  The "happy" banner is from SUINK's IT'S MY PARTY set.  I'm not sure I could ever get my little boy in an outfit like this one...we would have a mutiny for sure.  That's the good thing about stamping, though.  You can color however you like!

FRIGHTFULLY DELIGHTFUL FREAKY FRIDAY CHALLENGE - #2

So, we're off to a slow start.  COME ON!  I only have one happy stamper that wants to win some really great HALLOWEEN prizes?  That's hard to believe.  Well, let me entice you by revealing a little more about the big prize...

Hmmm....how about Halloween stamps from Storage Units, Ink & More?  And, maybeeee...a terrific goodie package from The Cat's Pajamas with stamps and other excellent spooky stamping treats?  Would you turn down a sheet of Halloween stamps by Doodle Factory at Starving Artiststamps?  I CERTAINLY WOULDN'T!  And then, perhaps, a nifty little something from Whipper Snapper Designs by Anna Wight?  AND...in addition to the Technique Junkie Newsletter CD6, I do have a set of Copic Atyou Spica Glitter pens.  JEESH...maybe I'll forget the whole thing and keep it all for myself!!!  Kidding!

I might have stretched this one just a week but...oh well...as long as it's fun!  Just pretend that you have a new neighbor moving in this month or a friend bought a new house in October (yea right...in this economy?), you might give them this card.  I used this spooky haunted house from the Doodle Factory Graveyard Shift set with a sentiment from Papertrey Ink.  It didn't start of being all "Halloweeny" but I decided to use the Splitcoast color challenge this week.  It's CC187 - Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango, and Kiwi Kiss.  (That Tangerine is a really bright colored paper...I think the jury is still out on that one for me.)  I masked out the little ghost that is included in the stamp with the house since I didn't set out to be this spooky.  My Copic coloring just kept getting darker and darker and somehow ended up dark and mysterous.  Anyhooo...Welcome to your new home!  Bwahahahahahahahh

SPLITCOAST COLOR CHALLENGE #184

Here's another MONSTER PARTY card.  This one uses the color scheme in this week's Splitcoast Color Challenge #184 - Red Riding Hood Red, Basic Gray, and Always Artichoke.  If these mummies weren't so cute they might be a nightmare....GRRRRRR!  Can you imagine these guys comin' atcha?  Aaaaaaaahhhhh!

BLOGGER'S CHALLENGE #52 - MANLY CARDS

WOW!  52 weeks of Blogger's Challenge's already!  How can it be that we've been doing this every week for a year already?!  Big, big thanks to Lisa Somerville for keeping the group going.

This week we'll all be featuring MANLY cards.  I bought this stamp before Father's Day.  It's so 'classic'...I just loved it.  However, I never got around to using it for Father's day.  There's always next year!  The stamp is by Printworks.  I had a great source for Printworks stamps when I was in Illinois but haven't found another since we moved back to MD.  Their stamps are lovely though and they have some really nice quotes.  You can go directly to the Printworks site and check them out.

This card also uses the colors in this week's Splitcoast Color Challenge #171 - Kraft, Black, and Soft Sky.  What a great color combo!  The patterned paper is from the Archaic 6x6 pad by Basic Grey and it matched perfectly.  The sentiment is by A Muse.  It's all watercolored with SU! reinkers and a waterbrush.  The ribbon is by SU! (Kraft taffetta) and black striped from Michael's.  I even broke out my Making Memories Distressing tool.
