CHASING SNOWFLAKES {sfytt}

Finally getting my card posted for this past weekend's SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY. We added a little furry thing to our family last week for the little boy's birthday.  Ummm...we're still in the learning curve for sure and our lives are completely upside down.  It's like having a new baby in the house!!  All normal activities ceased.  In addition to the doggie, Trixie, we had family visiting and a birthday party with 13 little boys....it's been insane!

We also had a bit of snow here on Saturday...all day!  I think we got about three inches but it was a wet, wet snow.  The little boy didn't do much chasing of the 'flakes but the doggie did!  She also ate her own doodie and some leaves...uh...yuh?  This is what it looks like here now...green grass with some snow here and there.  It's actually pretty gray out today...and cold.  Wonder if we're in for more of the white stuff?

The stamps here are from POPPY STAMPS created by the people at MEMORY BOX.  I made my doggie spotted but he's plain on the stamp so you can make him any color.  Don't ya love the antlers?! Patterned papers are from Three Bugs In A Rug and I added Memory Box snowflakes and rhinestone swirls that I bought at Wal-Mart.

SFYTT - Poppy Andrew Angel

Ready for a new sketch?  JEN's got another great one for this week's SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY challenge.  I'm still trying to get back to normal after a week in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.  It was quite an adventure...to say the least.  I'll just say that the hotel was lovely and the scenery was gorgeous - would have been so much prettier without the rain though - and we swam with the dolphins which was extraordinary.  Maybe I'll get a moment to post some pix later this weekend.  But back to the sketch...

I broke out another brand new stamp...this one is called Andrew Angel and it's from the new POPPY STAMPS collection from the people who brought you MEMORY BOX stamps.  Anna Wight - the great enabler - brought these to my attention and the images are all adorable and whimsically sweet.  Of course, it's all colored up with Copics.  I did add some clouds using a piece of scallop punched cardstock and a sponge with Soft Sky ink from SU!  And I painted his little wings with Aztec Gold Twinkling H2Os for a bit of sparkle.
