SARAH PULLS NICKY & OTTO {eat cake graphics}

Technically it's still Winter, even though it hasn't been looking or feeling like it outside, and I have a little pile of new rubber from EAT CAKE GRAPHICS that have been begging to be inked up and this image is one of them.  It's called SLEDDING - SARAH PULLS NICKY & OTTO.  It's soooo cute, right?!

I cut out a Spellbinders oval and stamped the image onto that layer.  Then I airbrushed the clouds in with Copics and colored it all up.  I added Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the ground and dotted in some glittery snowflakes as well.  I used the CIRCUS BORDER and the SNOWFLAKE CUTUPS dies from The Cat's Pajamas to jazz it up.  SU! ribbon, some buttons and baker's twine finish it off.  The little sentiment is from A Muse - from the old days.  (Oh how I loved their little wood mounted sentiment stamps!)  The patterned papers are included in a pad from Marcella by K called Remix Pattern Mat Deck that I bought at Target years ago.

Enjoy the tiny bit of winter left out there if that's your thing.  Myself, I like a little bit-o-snow.  I think we might just need one good one here in the East before it's all over!  I know...I know...BITE MY TONGUE!

TCP TUESDAY #199 - Stamp/Die Challenge

With the mild winter that we've enjoyed here in the East it really seems like Spring must be right around the corner.  (And you know that since I've had this thought and actually typed it here, next week we will be enjoying a blizzard.  Mark my words!!) SUSAN must have been thinking the same thing when she decided that this week's TCP Tuesday Stamp Challenge should celebrate...THE GREAT OUTDOORS! - Use any stamp(s) that are "out getting a breath of fresh air" (aka, doing something outside) along with the CLOUD BORDER CUTUPS die.

It's been a little bit since I used the bunny in the plane stamp from the TAKE OFF set.  I love this guy and his plane.  I really hope we see more of the bunny in various vehicles!  I used the BIG TICKET CUTUPS die to make a little tri-fold pull out for the front of my card. I stamped each ticket with the outline from the ADMIT ONE stamp set.  I die cut two borders from the CLOUD BORDER CUTUPS die and then embossed them with a dotted embossing folder.  I cut those clouds apart so that I could spread them across the three panels.  Bunny is pulling a little banner behind his plane so that everyone can tell that his "head's in the clouds..."  All of the patterned papers are from the Farmhouse pad from October Afternoon.

TCP TUESDAY #198 - Color Challenge

This week's TCP Tuesday challenge from LORI is to use the three Easter-y colors in your card creation!  (I have to admit to being "PINK" challenged.  Yikes!) Of course, we can't all be pros at everything.  That's why it's called a CHALLENGE!  Sooo....here goes....

I used the fun EGGS IN A BASKET CUTUPS die as my focal point and added the magical bunny from the PRESTO CLEAR STAMP SET to fill it up.  The LACY FLORAL DOILY CUTUPS die cut backs him up and I used the CIRCUS PANELS CUTUPS dies for my sentiment which is in the SUGAR SUGAR set.  Some must have grass using the GRASS BORDER CUTUPS die at the bottom, polka-dotty ribbon, buttons, twine, and brads finish it all up.  And, I made a color copy of a recipe book page for my background...each page spread had a different fun vintage-y color!

TCP TUESDAY #197 - SUPPLY/TECHNIQUE CHALLENGE

This week's TCP Tuesday challenge from JULIE is an ABC challenge - ANYTHING BUT A CARD!  I created a tag for a Valentine's goodie bag for the little boy.  You know...candy, junk food, and a toy...what more could a kid ask for?!

I created the base for the tag by using the CIRCUS BORDER CUTUPS DIE on three sides of the tag...something a little different, huh?  I stampd Kyle with the NIGHTIE ALPHABET on a banner and backed that up with hearts from the HEART TRIO CUTUPS DIE.  The FEELIN' CUPIDY bunny rabbit takes center stage here.  He's paired up with patterned papers in the Love Me 6x6 pad from MME.  The perfect hugs & kisses ribbon and some tiny heart brads complete the tag.

I've seen a ton of really creative anything but a card projects out there these days so I'm sure that you'll WOW us all with your creation.  Upload to Splitcoast using keyword TCPTUES197 and don't forget to add your link to ALMA'S BLOG as well.

TCP TUESDAY #196 - Inspiration Challenge

Who couldn't use a little rainbow inspiration in their life these days?  Especially if you live somewhere cold and winter dreary.  JEN'S provided us the the photo collage above for this week's Inspiration Challenge #196 with THE CAT'S PAJAMAS.

For my card I dug deep into the kitty kat archives and used one of my most favoritest TCP characters...RONNIE!  This stamp is called LASSOED and I teamed it up with the GHOST TOWN stamp.  I cut the white oval with a Nestabilities die and then airbrushed the rainbow background with Copics.  I stamped and colored the town in varying shades of gray so that it didn't get lost in all of that color and then I added Ronnie at the front.  I dug out a star patterned Cuttlebug embossing folder for some texture.  Rainbow colored Divine Twine and brads finish it off.

THE VALENTINE'S FAIRY {eat cake graphics}

I'm a bit of bah humbug on Valentine's this year but that can't stop me from liking a cute little Valentine's Fairy!  This adorable little one is called LITTLE SYLVIE and she's from EAT CAKE GRAPHICS.  I also stamped the BOX OF FAIRY DUST and TALL SCROLLIES to complete the scene.  I added a sprinkling of Dazzling Diamonds for fairy dust along with tiny hearts from the QUEEN OF HEARTS BORDER CUTUPS die from TCP.  I used part of that same border die down the right side and a big scalloped heart die from the HEARTS TRIO CUTUPS die - also from TCP.  All of the patterned papers are in the Yours Truly 6x6 pad from Echo Park.  Black organdy ribbon, a button, and Licorice Divine Twine finish it off.
