TCP TUESDAY #190 - SKETCH CHALLENGE

Hey there Tuesday stampers and holiday shoppers!  Hopefully you've gone just a few spare minutes left to join us for the last TCP Tuesday challenge of 2011.  I'm your hipster hostess with the mostess this week so we've got a sketch for ya.  Let's see what you can make of this...

Here's an opportunity to use up some of those ribbon and patterned paper scraps AND to make one more Christmas card for someone special, right?!

TCP TUESDAY #189 - STAMP CHALLENGE

This week's TCP Tuesday challenge is from SUSAN and that meant it's a STAMP CHALLENGE.  Time's running out....need one more Christmas card?  Create your card using any CHRISTMAS stamp from THE CAT'S PAJAMAS.  Remember, on the stamp challenge weeks you MUST use stamps from TCP.  (Other challenges from us can use other stamps...although, we'd love it if you stuck with ours!)  In addition, we're highlighting one of our fabulous CUTUPS dies with each stamp challenge.  This time we're recommending the BIG SCALLOP CUTUPS die. 

So, with all of that said, here's my card!  I'm sure everyone can tell that I'm addicted to patterned paper pads from October Afternoon.  I just received the Holiday Style pad and all of the paper here is in that pad.  I love this "city" panel!  It's so vintage holiday card - the colors especially.  Love, love, love it! I used JEN DEL MURO'S DECEMBER SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY as the jumping off point for my card.  I used SKATING BUNNY for my central image and used a gaggle of fun CUTUPS dies:  BIG SCALLOP, RIBBON SLIDE, SNOWFLAKE, CIRCUS PANELS, and SNOWFLAKE LACE PAPER.  I covered Alma's gorgeous snowflake in TCP silver glass GLITZY GLITTER for sparkle and added red pearls to finish it off.

MERRY FISHMAS {tcptues188}

I'm popping in with my card for this week's TCP TUESDAY color challenge from LORI with THE CAT'S PAJAMAS.

Sort of a holiday color palette but on the cool, wintery side, right?  This was a hard one for me but I dug around in my Christmas paper bin and came up with some old pages from KI Memories plus the red houndstooth that fit the bill.  I love this new penguin from the BEST FISHES set with his big ole fish.  The possibilities for coloring and paper piecing are endless!  I added some gray ribbon through the RIBBON SLIDE CUTUPS die paired up with the BIG SCALLOP CUTUPS die cut from sparkly glitter paper that I bought at JoAnn's.  Snowflakes with rhinestones from the SNOWFLAKE LACE PAPER die and Alma's beautiful SNOWFLAKE CUTUPS die add some chilly cheer.
