I'm heading out of town this weekend so I decided to post my BEING... card on Thursday instead of Friday. I'd like to make it a regular Friday thing from here on out so we'll see how that goes. I got a couple of really nice comments on last week's card and the concept. One of my favorites was from Therese Savage. Here's what she said...
"This is really cool. Its kinda like playing telephone but in a good way :) Different spins and creativeness. And Leigh you are someone who inspires me as well."
I love the her "telephone game" analogy! You know...it's where you whisper something in someone's ear and they whisper to the next person and so on and you see if what you said at the beginning comes out the same at the end of your line of participants. I admit that I loved that game as a kid...guaranteed to end up in lots of giggles!
So, as you go along, the original idea - in this instance the inspiration card - will probably morph into something else. It would be so cool to see what could really be done and compare the end project if more than just me were participating. You wanna play along? Any ideas on how we could make it work? If you have some thoughts on it, just leave me a comment and we'll see what we can come up with.
ANYWAY...this week, I decided on...
JODI COLLINS
I love Jodi's creations each week. She always WOWs me with her clean, graphic style. AND, she's a girl that doesn't mind spouting off about her love for EDWARD from TWILIGHT. (Aaah, I love him too!) I chose to use Jodi's TICKET TO MY HEART CARD. Now, I decided that I don't have to try and use EXACTLY the same stamps or supplies so my card has already changed the look of the original. I did use a couple of the same things - a MFT PI image, Astronaut Girl, the mini Film Strip Die-Namics die, and the layout that was the MFTWSC34 sketch challenge. I also used a few PTI dies and a stamp set to stamp the ticket. You can click on some of the thumbnails below to be taken to more info on my supplies. (I'm guessing that PTI will not allow you to copy their images to the InLinkz Link Manager because I couldn't get any of them to work...oh well.)

I am speechless, really! Amazing! I love all the detail! I agree, Jodi rocks! Especially when she supplies us with 'Edward' propaganda!

Leigh...I could seriously cry right now! I am beyond honored that you consider me someone for your "being" post. Seriously tearing up! Your card is AMAZING and totally blows mine out of the water! YOur coloring is GORGEOUS, especially on her space suit, and I LOVE the twine (I have to get some of that kind)and I LOVE that felt star and the ticket sentiment! This is AMAZING in every possible way...just like YOU!!!! Thank you my friend!!!

I loved Jodi's card when I first saw it and love your take on too. Fabulous details and colors from two of my favorite paper crafters.

Oh wow, Leigh.. that is GORGEOUS. I love that you use things I wouldn't think of... like the Mini Film Strip with an Astronaut. It just works. Love it. Super gorgeous as always. :)

Awww- now I almost teared up reading Jodi's comment! And I think she is just such a talented stamper and a really nice girl to boot, so I think when it comes to choosing this weeks 'BEING' ya done good kid! I think this could take off...maybe you should add a linky deal on your post and ppl could add their cards that were inspired by______. Anyway- great cards both Leigh and Jodi!! Love you guys:) xoxo

I didn't know I would need tissues to visit your blog this morning. *grin*. Stamping A Latte was the first blog I had any interest in...Jodi is AMAZING!!So glad you picked her...she so deserves it! She inspires me every day!
Love your sweet card, the DP's are perfect and I love the cut little ticket and twine.
