BACK.TO.BUSINESS! I'm slowly getting myself back to normal after a wonderful week in sunny Florida.
We're lucky that we have family in St. Pete and we go there each year for Spring break. (I took the photo above at Pass-a-grille - one of our favorite places to go and eat breakfast - using the Hipstamatic App on my iPhone. Looks like a 60s or 70s shot, doesn't it? FUN!) I'm no longer pasty white...I'm golden, bronzed! Yay! But, it's been slow going on doing house stuff and laundry and even getting my stamping done. I think Spring might finally be here in Maryland though and I've gotta be happy about that too!
So, as far as the challenges go, JEN was last week's host and she provided a great coffee themed inspiration compilation (TCPTUES156). This week we have a technique challenge from JULIE - to use BUTTONS on your card (TCPTUES157). Gotta get stuff done, ya know, so I combined the two.
My card uses this adorable little coffee drinking boy from the LIKE YOU A LATTE set from THE CAT'S PAJAMAS. I'd never even inked him up and I do love the images from this artist, ouou illustration. Maybe
it's because I'm not a coffee drinker. I'm choosing to think that he's having tea on a cloudy Spring day. He's got his yellow slicker so he's ready for the weather. I used a cloud from one of the PAPER SMOOCHES sets and covered it with buttons to fit the theme. (I'm pretty sure I just saw this on Kim's blog recently. I read my blog feeds on my iPad through the Reeder app but not everyday so I'm behind the times.) I also used this week's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge layout for this card.

Oh so cute Leigh!!! Love the cloud and the paper and the colouring and all the rest really;) That pic is cool- can't wait to ditch my BB and get an iphone!!
