Sorry, a little late on my TCP Tuesday card this week. Daggone snow keeps messin' things up around here. But, today the kids are back at school and maybe we'll be done with the icky weather. Being in Texas this past weekend with flip flops on and no coats was delightful. Needless to say, I'm cold again! That's probably why I used this little cutie with her long, long scarf on my card.
SONY is the Hipster Hostess with the Mostess this week and she's challenged us to use the color combo of Pink, Choclate Brown, and Teal. I love this little gal. She's from the JINGLE BELLS set - love that she's not too Christmas-y and can be use all winter long! And that scarf is perfect for lots of fun colors. The patterned papers are from My Mind's Eye in the Fine & Dandy Tickled Pink pad and MME Lush except for the woodgrain and that's by A Muse. I also tried to add some swirly rhinestones. Have you noticed how popular they are right now? I have been on the search for more around here to no avail...what's up with that?! I kinda had to piece some older ones together...not sure if I'm thrilled with the formation of them but I do like the sparkliness. (Know what, these were clear and I colored them with a Copic Marker. Yup, a little tip shared by Michelle Wooderson. She's a smarty pants, yes siree!) I also used a couple of PTI dies for the fancy circle layers, PTI ribbon, and Linen Thread from The Cat's Pajamas as well.
So, the buttons...PTI just came out with some button dies and thin coaster board. Well I already had my BUTTON CUTUPS dies from THE CAT'S PAJAMAS so I used those. Most excellent when you want a perfectly coordinated button, huh?! I inked the edges so that they weren't so bright on the card.
I actually counted up the number of markers used this time - 16! I usually have more in my bin after a card is done so this wasn't too bad. I'll share the colors used too:
Skin: E50, E21, E33 (as recommended by Sherrie Siemens) and R20/R21 for the cheeks
Hair: E08, E09, E18
Scarf/Coat/Shoes: R32, R35, E47, E49, BG11
Shading: BV00, BV01
Rhinestones: BG15
