Here's a little somethin' that I made up for last week's NEW RELEASE PAJAMA PARTY with THE CAT'S PAJAMAS on Splitcoast.  I wanted to make sure and share it here too.  {No new stamping yet...still nursing the arm/shoulder.  Now I'm thinking that it might be carpal tunnel.  ACK!  Have I turned into the biggest hypochondriac in the world or what?!}

Anyway, my Boo Banner features fun new Halloween images (Mwahh! and Witchy sets), silver Glitzy Glitter on the letters, Black Licorice Divine Twine, AND I also used the new Pennant CutUps dies on felt in the Orange You Glad collection...all from The Cat's Pajamas!

I'm still working on getting my shoulder healed so I'm not stamping this weekend either.  {Boo hoo for me!}  But, on the off chance that somebody stops by here looking for JEN's SKETCH FOR YOU TO TRY, I wanted to get that posted today.  The good news is that I am almost pain free today.  The bad news is that my arm and hand are numb.  And seeing as it's the left side...and I'm left handed...that does present a bit of a problem.  Getting better though....there is light at the end of the tunnel.

So, I'm taking a little break from stamping this weekend.  I pulled a muscle or something in my shoulder a few weeks ago and it's still needing to heal.  Believe it or not, I think stamping every day is keeping it from getting better.  Especially 10 ATCs of coloring and cutting out with the Xacto knife!  Gonna give it a rest for a few days....unless I feel better later....then I'll be back early!

MWAHH! {tcp sneaky peek}

THIS is my very most FAV-O-RIT-EST set from the new release from THE CAT'S PAJAMAS!  Did I ever mention that I'm a big fan of Halloween?  No?  Hmm.....I'm thinkin' that I might have just mentioned it a time or two or 29!

This set is called MWAHH! ALMA is a genius and she's come up with this cool edgy set that includes two fun characters plus spooky sentiments.  I just love it!  Can't you imagine maniacal laughter coming from this guy?  Need a visual?  Just look over here <------ to the left of my blog and see what Alma's Anthony created for the new release.  I'm really diggin' it!

Also shown here....two fancy new CUT-UPS dies - the BIG PINKING BORDER and the INSIDE PINKING BORDER.  Lots of jaggedy goodness also available on 9/14.

JUST CHILLIN' {tcp sneaky peek}

Okay, so today is my assigned sneaky peek day and I'm killing two birds with one stone on this one.  I also needed to come up with some ATCs for a swap that I signed up for.  {Not a surprise to anybody who might visit here anymore, huh?}  But time is short these days and you gotta do whatcha gotta do.

This funny bunny is in the JUST CHILLIN' set - available on 9/14.  He's from the same artist, Zlatina, as BIRTHDAY BUNNY and FORGET ABOUT THE CAKE bunny in our last release.  We're all in love with him!  Here he is doin' a little ice fishing. 

When we lived in Chicago we saw people ice fishing every winter.  Now, why would ANYONE really want to sit out in the freezing cold holding a pole over a hole in the ice is beyond me but it's a whole thing out there...ice huts, big ole ice drilling contraptions, coolers on skis and such.

I used some blue swirly Cosmo Cricket Jolly By Golly paper under vellum for the ice and cut out the little hole so we could peek under.  Also new here...the PINKING BORDER CUT-UPS die.  This is the smaller version - I used the biggie yesterday.  I was thinking "ice" when I cut the felt but it could also be a small mountain range in the distance, I think.  I added some glittery glitter to Bunny's jacket just for a bit of sparkle and colored 'em up with the Copics, of course.

And just like drillin' ice, I'll drill into you once again that all of this fun new stuff will be available on 9/14.  BUT, you should join us at our Pajama Party in our forum on Splitcoast on Monday, 9/13 from 9 to 11pm (est)...we'll be doing more sneaky peeks, playing some games, chit chatting...and there just might be some free stuff given away as well!

HAND OVER THE CHOCOLATE {tcp sneaky peek}

Almost time for the trick-or-treaters!  Yeah....you know how I love Halloween so I'm excited to share a cute new set from TCP called LITTLE DEVIL, of course!  {Available 9/14} I wrapped up a yummy candy bar from my hidden stash.  {The little boy - and his father - would eat the whole box if I didn't keep 'em hidden away!}  I have to admit that there aren't too many little kiddies that come to the door that would actually deserve something as "purty" as this.  Gotta save the good stuff for the "GOOD" kids...like ME! ha

Anyway, I used some dark and scary graveyard paper from Scrapworks for the background.  And then I added a sea of lava using the TCP CUT-UPS Wave die.  I colored the little guy up with Copics, tied on a big ribbon bow, some buttons and TCP Linen thread with the sentiment banner.

A LITTLE BIRD {tcp sneaky peek}

Here's a peek at another new set from THE CAT'S PAJAMAS .  This one's called LITTLE BIRD.  I am in love with the images from this new artist at TCP.  I really like big bold lines on my stamp images.  And then combine those with adorable little people and you can't go wrong!

I started off working on this card by choosing colors from three coordinating patterned papers from K&Co.  And look what ended up in the final card...one little piece of dp used to paper piece her coat!  That's how things go sometimes, right?  It's not often that I complete a card these days with so little patterned paper though. 

Are you lovin' big ole pinked border edges?  YUP...another new CUT-UPS die, BIG PINKING BORDER. It's another must have....just think of all of the ways you can use it...borders, frames, make an argyle pattern...so fun!

IT'S HIP TO BE SQUARE {mftwsc09082010}

Why soooo blue?  Well, the theme for this week's MY FAVORITE THINGS Wednesday Stamp Club challenge is "Back To School Blues."  Um, guess I took that literally?!  This idea started out in my brain as something along the lines of those plates where the images are monochromatic...blueware?  Really not sure what they're called but let's just go with it, k?

AMY and SONY have been creating these fun monochromatic cards lately and I've been truly inspired by those.  (Remember my Groovy Girl card?)  And since the description to the DT for the challenge said "create a project featuring something related to going back to school AND use something blue", my little girl is "blue" about going back to school.  

The images here are in the BOOK IN HAND Pure Innocence set.  I really dug deep into my paper stash for these patterned papers from Basic Grey in the Vagabond collection...real oldies!  I also used the new Notebook Edge Die-namics die from MFT, Kraft taffeta ribbon and photo corner punch from SU!, TCP Linen thread, a Tim Holtz mini paperclip, and a button from PTI.  Just in case you were wondering, I used the following Copic markers to color the image:  B91, B93, B95, B97, and B99.

As for my card, I was inspired by that big ole pink pencil in the photo.  And the rest of the colors too.  That led to the bright striped paper in the scarf for this fun sheep from the SHEEPISH set.  Can you pick out the new die shape?  Well, it's actually a PENNANT but I made it my Christmas tree.  Versatile, right?!  The set has four dies - large plain and scalloped pennants and smaller plain and scalloped pennants.  All made to layer very nicely...thank you very much!
