Last weekend I had the pleasure of attending and teaching a class at the Susan Gilman wholesale show in Boston for The Cat's Pajamas. This was my first time teaching and it was interesting. I think the hardest part is trying to teach people who are on many different stamping levels - some are done in an instant and are waiting patiently for the next step and some take a bit longer. Other than that part, I think it went okay. I learned a lot and met some amazingly nice people.
The best part, though, was hanging out with Alma de la Rosa - our fabulous and talented Cat's Pajamas owner and illustrator. She's such a sweet lady and we enjoyed being "catty" with her! (Since Holly talked me into teaching in the first place, she agreed to travel with me. What a bonus because we needed her help and she helped A LOT! I'm so lucky to have a great friend to not only stamp and craft with but to hang out and share with too.) We also got the pleasure of spending time with Kim Van der Sanden from My Favorite Things and her husband, Martin, Emily and Ryan from Stamping Bella, and Joanne Basile. These girls are all sooo talented and fun. I truly feel like the lucky one - I probably should have paid them to let me hang out...ha ha!
I'm gonna post my class projects next so you can take a peek if you want. One of the biggest lessons from the weekend was that, maybe, in a class situation, a few less layers and details might be a good thing. Who am I kidding?! MORE MORE MORE!!!

It was so much fun! And I especially loved shopping at the Crocs store. I love me some foam shoes.
