What a crazy summer it has been....and it's almost over! I can't believe that the little boy only has 19 more days of freedom and then it's back to school. WOW! I haven't had nearly the amount of actual stamping time that I would have liked to have had but what was I thinkin'! With kids activities, vacation, CHA, and time spent outside, no wonder...
In case you've also been crazy busy this summer and didn't notice...STORAGE UNITS, INK & MORE! just released six brand new stamp sets on August 1st. They're all really cute! AND, in case you needed a wee bit of incentive to go and check them out and get some for yourself, all of the SUInk Design Team gals have been giving away BLOG CANDY this week. This is your chance to get one of the new sets for FREE.
I'm featuring the AT A SNAIL'S PACE set. I love that the "Kritters" sets from SUInk really have something for everyone. If you want cutesy...you got it...classy...you got it...fun...you got it. That's true of the LEAPFROG, BUTTERFLY GARDEN, and BEAR WITH ME sets as well. (These are all illustrated by Paulette Rich Long. You can read more about her HERE.) They're just really versatile.
ENTER TO WIN
Leave me a comment here - at the end of this post. AND...tell me which SLOW activity do you enjoy most. I think, for me, it's reading. I'm not really a slow reader but I do enjoy a great book and taking the time to just sit and read makes me really happy. What about you? I'll take entries up through midnight eastern time on Saturday, August 9th and then let the random number generator pick a winner. I'll announce the winner on Sunday.
Make sure that you visit the blogs of the other DT gals. There are sets being given away each day this week. I'll give you the schedule and links here:

Cute card -- love the snails! I love to read, also. Although my favorite author is James Patterson, his books are fast paced for me, as I generally finish them quickly. We also love to take long walks with the dogs. Thanks for the opportunity!

This card is just too too cute. I would have to say that I enjoy reading also. I can get so immersed in a book that I forget everything else. Sometimes that is a good thing. Thanks for a chance to win this set.

What a cute creation! My favorite "slow" activity is floating on a raft in the pool (and maybe even catching a nap while I'm doing it!) :)

LOL, Peggy S. stole my answer... I was going to say scrapbooking & card-making, too. It takes a lot of time, but of course, I LOOOOOVE it! :) I love it even more when I have great stamps to incorporate on my pages & cards... hint, hint ;)

For me, the slowest activity I do, is scrapbooking..LOL! I am so picky and since I don't have a dedicated area, I have to block out a big chunk of time so I can make my mess! Thanks for the chance to win this set! BTW-your card is so cute and colorful!

Cute card. My favorite slow activity would be reading. Even though I don't have as much time to do it as I would like. Thanks for the chance to win this set!!

Cute card. Love the snail. My favorite slow activity is reading. I read about 3 books a week, so you see how much I love to read. I also like to take long, leisurely walks in the park. No exercise here, just time to think and commune with nature.

Adorable card. My favorite slow activity is sitting on my deck in the early morning with a cup of coffee and listening to the sounds in our backyard. We have a wooded area behind us that brings in all sorts of wildlife.

This is so, so cute! At the moment I would have to agree...reading. Simply because I am reading Breaking Dawn. It is soooooo good! I was going to read the whole series again before reading the final book...but I couldn't wait! ;0)

Nice stamp set! My fav slow activity is sitting in my recliner outside, enjoying the breeze and watching the flowers in my garden. All the while, sipping iced tea. MMMMmmmmmm

OMGosh...your card is so adorable and cheery. I have to have this set. This little snail is so cute and the rest of the set must be cute too. Thanks for a chance.

My favorite slow activity is scrapbooking. I love to scrapbook but it takes me a lot longer than making a card does!
Posted by: Cindy Vernon | August 06, 2008 at 11:15 AM
Reading is definitely my slow day activity!
Posted by: Heather R. | August 06, 2008 at 11:19 AM
For me the slow activity I enjoy the most would be card making, because most of the time it take me forever to make a card unless I am mass producing many of the same card. I also love to read. Thanks for the chance.

Thanks for the chance to win!

I love all your creations and really appreciate the opportunity to win. I think the slow activity I enjoy most is reading a good book while relaxing in the pool. I just love how calming the water feels and how I can just shut everything else out.
